Sam Goldfarb is a versatile sports broadcaster based in Charlotte, North Carolina and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Davidson College. Sam is currently calling MLS NEXT Pro, USL League One, and USL Championship professional soccer matches for Vista Worldlink, out of studios based in Dania Beach, Florida.

During the last 2 college athletics seasons, Sam has been the primary ESPN+ broadcaster for Davidson College, covering Men’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Women’s Lacrosse, and Field Hockey, as well as select Football games. Sam also narrates games across the Greater Charlotte area, commentating on events for Clemson University, Wake Forest University, UNC Greensboro, High Point University, UNC Charlotte, Furman University, and Queens University of Charlotte. Over the course of the last 2 college sports campaigns (2022-23 and 2023-24), Sam has covered approximately 230 total Division I sporting events.

Sam has narrated multiple Atlantic 10 postseason events, serving as the lead play-by-play commentator for the conference’s Baseball and Volleyball Championships in 2022 and 2023, respectively. In November 2023, he provided play-by-play on the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament, broadcasting a pair of First Round matches at Duke University. Sam was also the radio color analyst for Learfield on Davidson Men’s Basketball’s 2022 NCAA Tournament First Round game against Michigan State in Greenville, South Carolina; he is believed to be one of the youngest commentators to serve on a March Madness broadcast. 

During his four years at Davidson College, Sam was the only student selected to call games among a small cohort of industry professionals, covering over 100 NCAA Division I contests across 9 of Davidson’s varsity programs. Sam was featured on ESPN+ productions of Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Baseball, and Field Hockey and provided play-by-play and/or color commentary on numerous ESPN+ streams of Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Lacrosse, and Women’s Volleyball. 

Sam is an avid Premier League and U.S. National Team soccer fan and an experienced professional soccer announcer, winning a “play-by-playoff” to become the lead voice of Stumptown AC (NISA league Men’s Soccer) during its 2021 season in Matthews, NC. While still a full-time college student, Sam called 12 Stumptown AC home matches streamed live on ELEVEN Sports Network.
